St Tropez

Superb waterfront XVIII Century Provençal Bastide in one of the most exclusive and private domain of the Riviera :

Les Parcs de St Tropez

Waterfront with private seaport, dock and helipad

Les Parcs de Saint Tropez is a private estate of 100 hectares (10% of the area of the municipality of Saint Tropez) that provides 200 privileged owners with :

– The rare beauty of a preserved peninsula with wild vegetation.

– The guarantee of high security with a 24/7 guarded access, regular guard rounds and a video surveillance network

– A neighborhood made of international VIP and business managers

– Les Parcs de Saint Tropez are administered by a dedicated board and a management team supervising the domain to protect the tranquility of each and insuring the perennial quality of the site.

“La Bastide” was built in 1998 on an exceptional plot of land with spectacular 180-degree views over the Maures, the Esterel, the Alpes de Provence, the French Riviera, the Mediterranean Sea and even Corsica.

The property is just shy of 7000 square meters and consists of two adjoining plots of land :

One plot of 2000 square meters is a direct waterfront property set in a natural preserve. · Right above, the other plot of 5000 square meters ensures the protection of the house from the elements while offering panoramic views of the sea.

The landscaped park alternates between wild and cultured living spaces: terraces, solarium, greenhouse, fountains, garden, Provencal fruit and vegetable garden, bocce ball court, two pools, a Jacuzzi and even a helicopter landing area.

The main heated swimming pool is built to fit into the style of the house. It is located to the south and protected from wind by an exceptional terraced vegetation: pine and trees, vines, fig trees, cypresses, rose gardens … which allows its year round use.

The property, with direct access to the water, is prolonged by a private beach, a pier and a cove for mooring two ten-meter boats.

The architectural concept

Rather than opting for a conventional neo Provençal villa or a standard ultra modern home, the goal was to recreate at the edge of the water, the spirit of an authentic 18th century Provençal Bastide as one can often admire further inland.

The combination of the most renowned talents :

– François Viellecroze for the architecture
– Roland Lebevillon / Maurice Savinel for the interior decoration
– Pierre Restituto for the landscaping

The expertise of outstanding craftsmen and the use of antique materials have allowed the replication of a Bastide equipped with all modern comforts.

“La Bastide” is a real village, with its manor house, chapel, orangery, outbuildings, organized into three separate buildings (main house, guest house and caretaker’s house)

It allows an entire family and friends to live together, while having the space and privacy for each to feel at home.

With its 12 bedrooms and bathrooms, spread over 900 square meters, the property is designed to be both comfortable when full during the summer, and to offer intimacy during off season weekends (Voiles de Saint Tropez, Bravade, Louis Vuitton Cup, etc…)

“La Bastide” offers the cozy comfort and privacy sought by authenticity seekers, combined with all the amenities of modern life : Indoor / outdoor pool, hammam, Jacuzzi, home theater, gym…

Exceptional authentic and tasteful interior and exterior decoration

Simultaneously traditional and sophisticated, the house is built with antique materials : wood paneling, doors and windows, original shutters, alcoves, columns, wrought iron frames, old tiled stone, Louis XVI terracotta fireplace from the town of Arles, garden decorated with Anduze vases, statues and even an XVII century naval gun.

The furniture and chandeliers were also carefully selected from famous local antique dealers.

The presence of twenty white pigeons-peacocks complements the decor.

All of the above makes “La Bastide” a unique place in Saint Tropez with a magical charm that has been featured in many articles, books and television reports.
